Dr. Zeus integrates medicine and psychotherapy to intentionally rewire your brain through a scientifically-proven method that we tailor to your individual needs and goals.
Our treatment model goes beyond simply taking ketamine to help you feel better. Therapy is an integral part of the process, bringing deeply rooted beliefs and patterns to the surface so that they are specifically targeted in treatment.
Our therapy goes beyond helping you develop insight into your problems. Treatment facilitates neuroplasticity through tailored experiences that allow you to learn a new way of being.
-
Our core offering is ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) as an experiential treatment. This harnesses neuroplasticity, the brain’s natural ability to learn from experience, leading to lasting change.
Our services are all-inclusive for fully integrated care, with a one-stop medical and psychological evaluation, individualized treatment plans for lasting change, psychotherapy to integrate new learning, and ketamine prescriptions for treatment on your own. This means you don’t have to get prescriptions from somewhere else, have therapy somewhere else, or pay a separate doctor and therapist.
Dr. Zeus is a licensed physician and can also prescribe any medication as well as peptides.

All humans learn from lived experiences. We make maps of our world based on what happens to us and how that makes us feel. This ability to learn from experience is called neuroplasticity. New experiences are therefore the basis for experiential treatment, allowing us to change the way we understand and respond to the world.
There is a big difference between understanding something at an intellectual level and developing a felt sense for how it is. You can be told that a mango is sweet and juicy, but until you’ve tried it, your brain won’t anticipate its taste when you see one in the store. Similarly, experiential treatment helps you discover new perspectives through firsthand experience, changing the way you feel and respond to the world.
-
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy may benefit people experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health challenges, particularly when traditional treatments have not provided adequate relief.
The potential benefits extend beyond medical diagnoses. We have all had difficult life experiences that shaped our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in harmful ways. Our nervous system's response to these experiences can be changed at the root with KAP.
-
Ketamine’s effect depends on both context and dose. Ketamine can effectively tranquilize a horse, quickly relieve depression, and temporarily quiet the brain's defense mechanisms to help people access deeply guarded material in psychotherapy.
Dr. Zeus uses ketamine to rewire conditioned responses that unconsciously run people’s lives. Key to this process is neuroplasticity, the brain's natural ability to reorganize itself in response to new experiences. Treatment targets old patterns of thinking and behavior, rewiring maladaptive neural networks so patients can build a new response pattern. The result is meaningful and lasting growth.
Treatment is focused, meaning you choose what you want to change. We identify the source of the problem and target treatment to rewire your nervous system at the root.
Treatment is experiential, meaning you are guided to have new experiences. When you have a new experience your brain learns and develops new ways of thinking, feeling, and responding to the world.
-
We begin treatment by identifying an area of focus that you want to change. This could be a pattern you feel stuck in or a recurring difficulty. We gently bring the past experience into awareness, accessing the emotions, sensations, and thoughts associated with the problem. This activates the neural networks associated with the experience so ketamine will specifically bind to these neurons that got wired together, creating an opportunity to reshape old patterns. We explore how you’d prefer to feel or respond, directing the way your neurons will rewire, and now you are ready to go.
You sit in a cozy recliner, cover your eyes with a face mask, and receive a shot in the arm (with a tiny needle like a flu shot). In just three minutes, you feel like you are in another world, listening to music and talking or quietly enjoying the experience—that is up to you. You may lose a sense of time, until 30 minutes later you start coming out. You will then have the option of going back in with a second shot. You typically emerge with a new perspective on your struggle, so it no longer feels so difficult or heavy. You typically feel lighter and freer, as if you just took out the trash and now you can relax.
After the treatment, you have time to reflect before taking a safe ride home. You may talk about your experience if you like, or you may simply rest until you are ready to leave. The effects of treatment may not immediately be apparent. You will notice them later as you find yourself responding to familiar situations in a way that aligns with your deeper self.

Dr. Zeus offers all forms of ketamine administration.
Intramuscular (IM) injections are overwhelmingly preferred by patients for their fast and reliable effect, and they only need a small needle like a flu shot.Intravenous (IV) infusions are also fast and reliable, requiring a plastic catheter in your vein and connected tubing throughout treatment.
Lozenges come in two forms, troches and tablets, requiring patients to hold the medicine and saliva in their mouth without swallowing or talking for 15-30 minutes as the medicine slowly takes effect.
Nasal spray works slower than injections and faster than lozenges; this is how the brand-name Sparavato® esketamine is administered.
We do not offer Spravato® because it has been documented to be less effective than regular ketamine and it costs much more.

Ketamine is generally well tolerated when administered in a controlled clinical setting, but like any medication, it carries potential risks and side effects.
Ketamine may cause temporary side effects, including dizziness, nausea, increased blood pressure, changes in perception, and feelings of detachment. These effects typically subside as the medication wears off.
At Dr. Zeus, we prioritize your safety through medical screening, individualized treatment planning, and clinical supervision to help determine whether ketamine therapy is appropriate for you.

We recommend starting with three treatments, spaced one week apart, to allow the cumulative effect to develop.
Some people experience a lasting effect after three to six weeks with no further need for treatment, while others benefit from maintenance treatments that vary in frequency, commonly between every two weeks and every four weeks.
-
Patients feel different right away. However, this is only the beginning. The results of experiential treatment are so profound that the conscious brain does not immediately notice them. People gradually realize that their way of being and responding to their environment has changed at a deeper level.
The extent and duration of individual results depend on how deeply rooted the problem is. This is based on several factors, primarily how long ago the problem started and how many times the problem has been reinforced by repetitive learning. Some people experience a lasting effect after a few sessions with no further need for treatment, while others benefit from maintenance treatment. During your initial consultation you can ask what to expect for your specific situation.

Yes, peptides complement ketamine-assisted psychotherapy by enhancing mindful awareness of cravings and aversions in daily life. This allows people to set an intention and respect their own boundaries for how much alcohol they consume and/or how much food they eat.
-
Yes. Ketamine affects coordination, judgment, and alertness. Although you may not notice it, this lasts for a few hours, so you must have someone transport you home after treatment. We recommend having a trusted friend or family member pick you up after your first treatment.
